  • pwa-mode: records whether the site has been opened in installed PWA mode.
  • pwa-device: records the detected PWA device type, such as iOS or Android, to adjust the installed-app experience.
  • article:spoiler_hide:{article_uuid}: remembers when you dismiss a spoiler warning for a specific article so the warning is not repeatedly shown.

These cookies are used because the site would not work properly without them.

Analytics

  • Pirsch analytics: we use Pirsch to measure engagement and site usage. Pirsch is designed as a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics platform and does not rely on analytics cookies in the traditional sense.

Pirsch is a non-cookie analytics service rather than a traditional analytics-cookie platform.

Advertising

  • Google advertising scripts: when advertising is enabled on the site, Google ad scripts are loaded from Google advertising domains. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve, measure, and personalize advertising according to their own policies.
